Thinking of getting a optical mouse, which to get

Well guys i seem to see some posts saying they are great and everyone should have one, then i see some saying it jumps all over the screen if you move it fast or if you plug it in USB it stalls the computer every 5 min's. So who is right? and what one should i get for under 60$ Canadian.

Yesterday i bought a logitech optical mouse (the cheapest one) and it only cost me $15 american at best buy. I love it- it was the best 15 bucks ive ever spent. I would reccommend it. However, if you want more than two buttons and a wheel, you might have to spend more.

Yeah, I bought Logitech's Optical Mouse for $22 and I love it. It's only got two buttons and a wheel though, but the touch and precision is perfect (true of any optical ). The model name is Logitech's Wheel Mouse.

Another Logitech Mouseman Optical user here and I love it. I use it with my laptop, so the convenience of not needing a mousepad and not having to clean it often are perfect. I don't game with it, but for normal use it beats the hell out of a normal mouse.

The Mouseman Optical is a cheaper alternative, and works well. However I use the MS Intellimouse Explorer.

They come PS2/USB and I use the USB connection.

Logitech Opticals are nice, hop by FutureShop or PriceClub (the lower end Logitech mouse is cheaper at price club). You should be OK at $60 tax incl.

USe PS/2. A friend of mine has a USB one, and it has brought his tbird 900 to a screeching halt several times while gaming. I have a PS/2 one, and have to say that it's great. I notice the moving fast across the screen thing, but even in a game you're nto going to move your mouse that fast unless if you're pissed off and about to punch your monitor.

Logitech Mouseman Wheel Optical.
I play CS and Trbies 2. I've used really high sensitivity and really low. No problems with either one.

I use ps2. Have the ps2rate set to 200 (this comes with the drivers).

Ok guys, just went out and bought a mouseman Wheel optical, was regualr 79.99 but officedepot had them on clearance for $64.99, they also had the cheaper one with 2 buttons and wheel on for 39.99. Just to give you guys the heads up .

Get the Microshaft IntelliRat w/ IntelliEyeball. It's excellent and you don't even need a mouse-pad. Very inexpensive, too.

Just got my Logitech Cordless Optical mouse yesterday. I love it and it is not half bad in FPS games either. It has a great feel to it since the design is completely new and the software is really nice. It has both USB and PS/2 connections.

Another very happy Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse user here I don't like Microsoft's mice, they feel very, very cheap. Their keyboards on the other hand aren't that bad - but of course Logitech's are better IMHO for keyboards as well

Hate to say it but the impluse was very strong yesterday. CompUSA, $64.95 and I bought two of them. I feel shamed and will seek help but they were the only store that had them already in my area.
