Thinnest LGA1156 CPU Cooler?

Those rails on the Prolimatech Samuel 17 look really long. What would prevent Prolimatech from making a mounting block for an adjacent blower type fan? (rather than using the 120mm top mount)

On average the fins are 0.56 mm thick and spaced 1.98 mm apart. Though it shares roughly the same dimensions as the Big Shuriken, it is a bit smaller since the fin mass does not extend as far as the fan frame.

So with Samuel 17 we have 6 heatpipes vs 4 heatpipes on the Big Shuriken, but the Samuel 17 has less fins? Or am I wrong about this?

If that is true how much would a higher Cfm blower fan (that lowers the installed height as a nice side benefit) help?

I just got the NT07 today in the mailbox. I put it on my DFI P55-T36 MITX board and it fits perfectly. It's just small enough to fit in the case while cooling the CPU at stock. Haven't oced yet, still looking at my heat dissipation plans.

Okay here are the results on the low speed fan setting (Stock C, Stock V, HT off)

Idle: 43, 46, 43, 45
Load: 51, 48, 50, 49

Haven't tested the high speed setting because it's noticeably louder.
