That said, I doubt that a government run "Medicaid+" plan would be any better. Same bureaucracy, with probably even worse customer service. Imagine healthcare reimbursement being run by something like your local DMV office... yeah, not cool.

A huge chunk of Medicaid and Medicare enrollees don't have the government as a payor, they're enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans and Medicaid MCOs.
