This bothers me.

I am at my aunts house on an ATHLON 700-128mb Ram and a 28.8 connection is all the thing connects at. And the websites go about as fast as my computer on wireless. It is amazing how big of factor a processor plays in your computer.

he told me end of month finaly. it'll be a 1ghz system.

It'll probably be about a month till I order the parts and here is what I plan on getting.

Yeah, Intel told me that Rambus is good and that a P3 makes my "internet" faster. Intel said it, so it MUST be true. Athlons are bad, because Intel told me so, they SLOW DOWN the "internet"! AMD is the enemy.

Could any of this have something to do with HSP modems (aka Winmodems) which are driven from the CPU that is in your computer? I know from my own experiences that a 450 mhz computer with a winmodem will fly compared to a 90mhz with one.

you people dont know nothing, the internet is fast on a P3 because it has the internet inside of it. plus the cash is like FAST, plus if you have 2 P3s with a 2x processor board, you get 2x the processing power and faster internet!!!
