2015 Challenger Scat Pack

Decided I'm too low brow for a CTS-V, I hate the Camaro SS and I'm too cheap for a ZL1. I just don't fit in them well and the 2014 styling refresh is a no for me. The corvette wasn't a very good fit either.

I sat in This Challenger for grins, decided to take it for a spin and NICE! They wouldn't budge on the price so I walked. Fast forward a week or so and they offer a 3k discount. I go back and the car is still adjusted from where I drove it the first time! My guess is I was the only one that showed interest in the car recently. They start tossing numbers at us but the wife and I already knew what we wanted on trade for my 2012 Wrangler and what we would pay for the car itself. Their first attempt was WAY off the mark so we told them try one more time or we walk. The "manager" came out, said he'd level with us and came to within $250 of our numbers so I signed the papers.

I LOVE THIS CAR! I don't care if it's big, heavy or what ever else people gripe about. It pulls like a freight train, is super comfy and turns like no big car should. /flame on

Smart move, the Hellcat is $20K higher (not including the HUGE mark-up's the dealers are tacking on) and 500HP ain't too shabby!.

Dodge is really kicking butt lately. The Challenger is currently one of the best looking pony cars, and their performance is just ridiculous. It'd be fun to throw one of these through a time machine and amaze gearheads from muscle days gone by. Even if the resurrected Scat Pack name still sounds like they are equipping you with a bag of crap, the car is majorly cool.

Yea, gotta agree that Dodge did a great job of keeping the original Challenger lines and actually improving it in some areas. Congrats that is one sweet ride. In terms of looks it is easily my favorite of all the reasonably priced muscle/sporty cars on the market. Every angle on that car looks good.

I wanted a hellcat but with the frenzy, they are impossible to find near msrp and I refuse to pay the insane markups. The scat pack (imho) is the best deal out right now.

I read somewhere that the Challenger is currently outselling ALL pony cars for the first time in about forever. Dodge is kicking ass and taking names right now. Seems like they are listening to what people want and making it happen.

Yea, there is a big Dodge dealer in Orlando that has a hellcat in inventory, price?, $97K (+tax) so make that around $104K, nutty. I guess they can only make as many as the company that supplies the supercharger can deliver and if your Dodge you don't get stupid and convert another plant to make them because by the time it's up and running the frenzy will have died down and they will be selling at MRSP.

Who expects high mpg from a pony/muscle car?

What diesel would give similar performance and get any better economy?

There's already a V6 that gets 19/23/30mpg if you want that.

You are one lucky devil. Your wife is like my GF and most other ladies. They all love the Challengers. Quintessential Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Cruise all day in supreme comfort, strafe a back road, and lay down some silly double strips of rubber.
