I am posting here as i didn't receive response in general forum

Just now I got my pc assembled one week back... at that time i couldn't get my videocard I was looking for ..ie. Asus V7700 Delux with tv-tuner...my pc is now running with a very old video card (some 3 yrs old)... So i have another chance to pick up my video card.. Even though I have a separate tv i would like to have tv-out/in and tuning features..and to have good dvd quality on my tv....I don't have specific limits on my budget..
please guys help me out..
further I am more in making mpeg/avi files by capturing through firewire...


1.Could any one suggest a video card for me

2.I recently downloaded TmpGenc to convert avi video files to mpeg format to save space.The program work fine for some cases but all of a sudden it crashes (in fact very frequently) and even in some cases it forces me to restart the system. Could any one help me in solving this problem...or is there any other good prog's available?

If you are doing alot of video work, get a Radeon AIW, personally dont know if it comes with 32/64mgs of ram, but I know alot of people enjoy them for the features you expressed interest in..

A dedicated DVD decoder card will produce beter results than any video card when it comes to TV-out, though they will only show DVDs.

ATI's AIW only comes in 32 but is very feature rich and good....
