I joined AT before you did (though I was more active in the more technical forums) and then I was off for like 3-4 years, I obviously don't recall the username/password so I made a new account, just saying that though I have a new account, I was here before, and I know what it was like.
Nevertheless, I do agree there are some old classics which are always fun reading, but: reading archives != having a discussion
which is sometimes what you sort of expect of a forum.

This place had/has much higher quality people than most other OT boards, its just a shame that no one posts anymore.

I, for one, think that the forums were far better back at the beginning of this century, rather than the last couple of years. But what do I know, I've only been here 6 YEARS, not 6 months.

Except in extreme cases Moderators are not allowed to ban or vacation anybody in a thread in which they participate let alone start. Now if you have any more remarks to make about the Moderating of these forums take them to PFI.

well i dont think it's just been dead since this past month. but i think over the past couple years it's slowed down (it's still fun and i still visit almost every day, but i guess it's like the same thing that happened to the hot deals scene years ago).
