total dummy here ...
Don't you need the wifi password to get in? And the streaming device has to be shared?

Watch the second video, he explains how he acquired the wifi password, got into the network and compromised their computers.

It is kinda scary how easy it is to hack windows once you're on the network though. Read the write up on how Hacking Team was hacked, it's quite interesting: https://ghostbin.com/paste/6kho7

Once he was in the network he could pretty much just become the domain administrator and take it from there. After all these years you'd think MS would make their systems harder to do privilege escalation.

I'm somewhat disappointed in his choices for alternate sound though. It should have been loud, explicit porn.

Exactly, find and download anal scene, wait for the inevitable "**** my ass harder!" while the ass-slapping sound is also loud. God the Lulz would be amazing.

In other news, after watching video 2, as soon as I get home I am checking my wifi security settings and putting a post it note on all my webcams.

There are smartphone apps that automate a query on the network to find attached devices as well.
Hope you don't find anything strange.
I scan my wireless a couple of times a day and change the password ever two weeks or so even on WPA2

Whomever is using anything less than WPA 2 needs to get a new router or a clue imo

Yeah, I feel like even my half decent secured network is suddenly not secure enough after reading that. One little oversight and boom you're in! Most of what was done is beyond my hacking capabilities, yet does not sound like it was that advanced for a half decent hacker to be able to perform.

Lol that's awesome. You guys get your panties WAY too much in a bunch. Who cares if it's illegal, just don't get caught. Somebody who is stupid enough to use zero security or very little security is not going to know where to even start in trying to figure out who did it. When it comes to physical security you are expected to lock your doors, windows, etc or cops won't help you, and insurance won't either. Should be the same with digital security.

I have a neighbour who plays the radio super loud every single day that it's nice out, all day. Sucks when I'm on night shifts trying to sleep in the day. It's one thing to have construction noises or something, at least those arn't constant, but this is constant. All I hear is a muffle sound non stop. Starts at around 8 all the way to like 10. It's loud enough that you can be anywhere within the block and hear it loud and clear. This started near the end of summer last year and I was hoping it was going to be a one time thing, but clearly not. I will need to tune my magic wand to the same frequency as that station and inject my own music some time.

unless you say something to him, how will he know that it is bothering you? you don't live in the states so i doubt he will shoot you if you talk to him, the passive aggressive bullshit isn't as effective as most people want to believe it is

You change your passwords every two weeks? What a headache to round up everyones phones, tablets, laptops, etc every two weeks and change passwords. Also, relatives have my WPA2 password on their phones and tablets for when they visit and I wouldn't want to have to change those every time they show up.

uh, just call the police. There are noise ordinances for a reason.

I did this many times when I last lived in an apartment. Got one neighbor evicted, but not the second one. I gave up and bought a house.

While I do not condone (yes I do) these kinds of illegal acts, I am not going to sit on a jury and prosecute them as the target was clearly an a-hole. Now, can we do some wardriving and repeat this on schmucks driving their cars playing noise so loud they have to let it out onto everyone within a mile?

I thought about it, but he's not doing it late at night or anything, it's during the day so really he's not exactly in the wrong by having the loud music and he usually stops it by like 10pm when sun starts to set. He did it two days in a row the other time and now stopped, so I am wondering if maybe someone did tell him. I might still try the police if it keeps up though, I just don't think they can do much if it's during the day.
