I hate this feedback manipulation. Here's how ebay ratings could be better:

Separate ratings as buyer and seller

List total $ spent as buyer
List average $ spent as buyer
List median $ spent as buyer

List total $ spent as seller
List average $ spent as seller
List median $ spent as seller

Of course, ebay will never do any of this because it doesn't make them money. And that's all they give a rat's ass about. They don't care that people get ripped off. Each rip off = more money for them.

BTW, do a search on ebay for "positive feedback" and you'll get 21 pages of jerkoffs buying and selling feedback. Ebay could easily ban them all, but those greedy f*#$&(kers don't care. Ebay should be shut down for fraud. And yes, I still use it cause not one can take over the giant piece of crap.

The wonderful thing about reading messages online is that I can't always tell when someone's making a light-hearted joke or just being a plain old asshole. If it's the latter, then simmer down, sparky.

At any rate, keeping this unlocked for a while isn't a bad idea. Thread gets more traffic, more people see what kind of idiot the original poster is and get pissed at him, more people report him on eBay. Isn't irony delicious? eBay might ignore the masses of people buying & selling feedback, but when one particular individual gets swarms of complaints filed against him, well, that's a different story.

I would not be suprised if the seller will get a letter from UBI's lawyer(s) anytime soon. I'm sure "Splinter Cell" is trademarked by either UBI or Tom Clancy's ppl. The item's description page shows the seller jumping idiotically with "Hey, I'm violating UBI's trademark".

If you think that a joke about sexual acts with a farm animal might be serious, then your spidey sense isn't working very well. And you probably have some other issues that require therapy to be worked out (or maybe you are just "really good friends" with farm animals).

Actually, there are several posts on this thread that have it dead on: Ebay doesn't care. If someone does a search for "positive feedback" and finds 21 PAGES of bogus auctions, then it's pretty obvious that ebay doesn't care. This ISN'T a hot deal, so it's in the wrong forum. The putz that posted it should be banned and his IP blocked so he doesn't bug us with any more of his crap. That's what we need mods for.
