Upgraded/replaced by newer/bigger ships, and the owner cannot find a buyer who is willing to pay more than the scrap company is offering. Sometimes, due to downturns in the economy or whatnot, companies might have an aging idle ship they cannot lease-out or find any work for, is costing them more to keep it around and maintain than just selling it to a scrap company.Why are they wrecking it?
