I had 2.5 hours of free time today and spent it ALL on this. Pretty funny when I have crossfire 290s to play hours of a webgame (what does that say about AAA games that cannot hold my attention?) It is on Steam Greenlight. I hope they add support to play in the same server as friends.

I have very little lag on the US East Servers using Chrome.

Some names have an image associated with them. If you use the name you will have the image.

Fair Warning: This game is dangerously fun and addicting. You WILL miss something at some point, an appointment, going to bed in time, answering the phone... you WILL keep playing this instead. You've been warned.

So anyway, I was lagging a lot on the US East server, so I opted for the Russian one instead, and it was smooth. I managed a 4th position before finally being gobbled up in a strange (perhaps buggy) circumstance, but I didn't mind. My "death" was my cue for "Hey, you should go sleep now!".

I was the "Jupiter" cell.

I managed to gobbled up "Russia", then I started to follow TarusWolf's cell (the biggest of the two). Eventually my cell was literally eclipsing his (the biggest one) but HE gobbled me entirely. After he did that he went from 6th to 2nd position, lol. Not sure if it was a bug... I was (at least visually) clearly bigger. But anyway, well played Tarus.

Alright... time to sleep. I need to forget about this game before it's too late.

Apparently you can shoot your mass through the green spikes to split up someone bigger than you. It happened to me like 3 times by this smaller guy, I was quickly gobbled up by my competitors. I tried shooting into the green spikes to hit someone else but it seems that it just gets absorbed by them. Not sure how this works.

Space splits you (allows you to overtake people or escape)

W ejects mass -- this is for throwing into the green blobs and can work to your advantage. Doesn't seem to be for anything else.

You can also just run into the green blobs and it will split you.

Not really, space is for jumping people, the most usefull way to use eject is to shoot out a load of matter in front of you to allow you to escape then immediately eat it back up. Splitting to escape leaaves you vunerable to otherr people until you form back up.

Oddly addictive game (if you say addicting, you mean addictive). The W key ejects mass which slowly glows the green spiky blobs and then eventually makes them generate a new spiky blob that shoots off in the direction of where you were aiming, allowing you to catapult them into bigger blobs you can't kill.

W can also be used to bait blobs by dropping some mass then you can line up a split and be more sure to grab them. It can also be fired in front of you in the direction of travel to make you smaller and thus faster, allowing you to travel slightly faster at the risk of someone stealing the mass before you can get to it.

The main problem I have with the game so far is that bad players who don't really know the mechanics screw you over, they'll chase you when they're bigger than you but they can't catch you, that's all fine and well as you can just hoover up the mass in front of you, but their endless trailing just leads to you both together being one big target for the bigger masses that might otherwise not risk a split if you were just by yourself.

People often ignore blobs that are too small because the split isn't worth making themselves at risk from the larger cells, but when lots of small guys crowd together its rich pickings, so that's really bloody annoying.

The basic tactic is, if you're large enough to consume someone then you're slower than they are and endlessly chasing them is a total waste of time because you don't gain anything, while the person you're chasing can kill all the small cells on the way.

The trick is to split yourself asap at least a few times so you can get more orbs early on then just have 2 or so parts of yourself out to eat other people and avoid the fatties.

Decent tactics to the game, though. I only got really big once after a guy split and I ate up the split balls, of which there ere 3-4 and each one was barely small enough to eat, so I catapulted up in size.

Splitting to take on really small guys is a very amateur move. Most big guys ignore little and I can kind of run around them in orbit using them as protection.
