Well there's two little things you missed. One is the Constitution and as I linked to, people have due process and we're not the facists some would embrace, at least not yet. The other is "any other country". There are asylum hearings before deportation.

The unconstitutional behaviors of an authoritarian President may be something you embrace, but at least don't like about "the only country on the planet". That makes one look not only vile but stupid.

So it will be a total mess in my view.

Agree, the parents made a choice for their children and it's the parents own fault for knowingly breaking the law. The law exists for an economically protective reason. Inserting personal emotions into that only causes problems the law was intended to prevent.
