Everything at cyberrebate.com is WAY OVERPRICED.
They make money on the "free" after rebate items like this...(using the mcafee $300 virus scanner as an example).
1. They make interest off your $300 for the upto 4 months from the time you pay them to the time you cash your rebate check.
2. You may incorrectly fill out, or send correct documentation to them, preventing you from getting your rebate back...hence, they keep the $300
3. Your rebate gets lost in the mail and you forget about it....bye bye $300
4. You order the same item twice, voiding the 2nd rebate....
I'm willing to bet one or more of the above items happens often enought that they make money. Not to mention the advertising on their site, and the items that don't give you back %100 rebate are often still overpriced....
Is cyberrebate legit? YES. I have put in over "$1,000" worth of orders over several months. So far, all the rebates are arriving as expected.
I keep a seperate email folder containing completed and outstanding rebates for electronic side. Physically, all paperwork received AND SENT(photocopy/scan) is kept in a filing cabinet the same way. You MUST be careful and track your orders....make a note on the calendar reminding you in 14 weeks about the rebate....
Good Luck!
