Normal SLI would be more than enough for most games, 1080p of these TVs is < 1920x1200 of their PC monitor counterparts.

Err, 1920x1080 isn't exactly a high resolution. In fact it only has 8% more pixels than 1600x1200 which is considered a middling resolution by today's standards.

Regardless, Quad SLI is generally useless. SLI AA isn't very good and the performance with regular AA is often worse than 7900 GTX SLI.

Also nobody in their right mind would pick up Quad SLI now when a single 8800GTX would likely give it a run for its money and it will be here in a few days.

Well most HDTV either have DVI or HDMI. Since HDMI is basically DVI w/ audio you can just a cord that is DVI-HDMI or an adapter.

For $7k I would much rather get two 50" Plasmas @ 1366x768, a 42" LCD @ 1080p, a Xbox 360, a PS3 and a bunch of games. But hey that is just me.

Oh yeah? I'm asking Santa for this guy. I just don't know how he is going to fit it into his bag. But I bet he'll "misplace" my list anyway.

def don't need quad SLI for that low of a resolution. just play SLI should be more than enough for awhile. Heck I'm drivein 1920x1200 a tad bit highier with a single x1900xt. Sure there are times when I would slike a 2nd card but I just can justify the expense at this time.

Only LCD's TV's I've liked are IPS. Others looks washed out and has poor view angles. That image is super imposed on there, fake.. please go look in RL before ordering...

14 bit color!?!?:Q Wow! How much does that cost?

priceless

actually pretty reasonable . . . MSRP is $4K

i've seen them for $3200

Anything above 8bit looks same..big deal is you can see it crystal clear and bright from all angles with no shimmering effect on screen and it's fast. Sorta like a plasma but 1080p.

What else would you expect from 57 inches of 1080p goodness. That's less than a crossfire setup.

While it may not need Quad-SLI, imagine how sweet that display would look sitting on your computer desk....or even your living room.

So many toys, so little money.

Quad SLI for a 1080p tv :! dude my single X1900XTX can play all the major fps/rts on 1080p and crossfire can handle oblivion at that res.

So, it looks like lcd's are really starting to mature. By the time they finally get some new tech out, lcd will probably still be able to compete. Would be nice to have this scaled down to a 26" monitor at the same resloution. I know i'd be willing to break the bank for one.
