The pickup and amp settings he was using make it harder to hear fudges and imperfections in his playing but if you know what they'd sound like you would've heard some in his playing.
To the untrained or inexperienced ear, these can certainly lend themselves to imperfections or fudges, when they're INTENDED. Watch his other videos, he's not average or common. His style doesn't personally appeal to me, but that is the subjective part of music. Objectively, this guy is exceptional. He studied classical violin and guitar for nearly 10 years.
