For me it's usually wheels - powdercoated set of BBS RCs on the S4, forged SSR on the M3. Latest addition is a retardedly expensive intake mani:

Exdeath, Apex etc should have fun entries.

I have Pazzo levers on my bike. Only about a $200 part though. Ducati comfort seat was $189. Ducati tail bag was $250.

Termignoni slip on is $1800... hasn't been a priority so I haven't sprung for that yet.

I have a few hundred easy in stereo upgrades on my car but I don't give enough of a crap to bother itemizing it.

Aftermarket part as in a non-standard modification part, or does an aftermarket OEM replacement count?

If the former, my 100 dollar head unit.
If the latter, my wheel bearing

I could never get myself to spend on pazzos on any of my bikes; damn that expensive machined billet hotness.

Most expensive and treasured thing in my minivan is my family.

Boxster- sports exhaust
300zx soon to be paint
G35 tires

I am crazy frugal when it comes upgrades usually getting used if possible and always on discount and sometimes trade.

Really my biggest expenses on cars is tools.

the single most expensive modification to my Supra used to be my Mint Speed titanium strut bar. it is # 3 out of what was supposed to be a production run of 150 units, but if demand doesn't keep up, production may get capped at 50 units. of the gazillions of different strut bars made for the JZA80 Supra, this and an HKS model are the only two made entirely of titanium. so the material and the rarity are what makes it expensive. is it worth what i paid for it in terms of pure performance gain? LOL no ...it was more of an impulse buy on a novelty item than it was a serious investment in performance...

then i bought a JIC 505S full titanium cat-back exhaust, which weighs just under 11-lbs in its entirety, and includes all the piping you can see in the picture up to the downpipe flange:

...nowadays, the most expensive modification to the Supra are my Volk TE37 wheels (19 x 9.5 F, 19 x 10.5 R, +22). they have the Seibon Edition paint scheme, which is nice and goes with my paint color well...but ideally i want to repaint them in Volk Bronze:

EDIT - didn't think about paint, which was expensive as hell to get done flawlessly even though its an OE color...

yes, painted to match...the red you see in the the pictures is the old color. in fact, that's why the engine is out in those pictures - to get it repainted.

On my 95 miata. Straight line performance parts are pretty much worthless on these thing till you go forced induction but handling can be improved without getting too crazy. Koni sport shocks $500 themselves but the coilover sleeves, springs, and bump stops bring the total up to around $800.

Nothing really. Single biggest item is obviously the Kenne Bell 2.6 and that was only about $3k since it's JUST the blower and no additional kit is necessary since the car is already blown stock.

One of the great things about this car is there is no Corvette tax, Cadillac tax, Shelby tax, BMW tax, etc, high end parts cost just what they should and not 3x more because of what box it's in.

MR2- does paint count? If not, Koni shocks, Dunlop Star Spec tires, and dyno tuned ECU were all in the ~$600 ballpark. The turbo setup was about $1k, but that was an assortment of different parts.

Bike - Sargent seat

Forester - Maddad exhaust

Easily the supermoto wheels for my Bike. Talon hubs, Excel hoops, Heavy duty spokes. Including the full floating brake it was like 1.5k

A set of these rims runs $5,000 (no, I'm not kidding). Luckily I found a set with a few hundred miles on them + sensors + slightly used F1 supercars for $2,000. So, add in that cost pus the cost of the winter tires, and I'd say so far $3,500 is the most I've spent on this car. It would have been much cheaper if I didn't want the OEM wheels, but I wanted matching wheels all year round.
