Foreign flags are flown at the white house every time a foreign dignitary makes a state visit. I don't know the deets on this ceremony taking place as there's been very little coverage, not that that's stopping the freepers from suiting up in kevlar.

I don't see the problem as long as the flag of <insert country's name here> isn't raised higher than the US flag. Mutual respect is good.

The US is no paragon of human rights either. Better than China though.

One of the things I hated about Bush was his arrogance when dealing with foreign countries. I am hoping that Obama isn't as bad and actually attempts to improve relations with other nations.

What you fight for encompasses many things. Obviously, and not surprisingly(nothing personal as few can know it all), you don't know everything it is. Perhaps reading up on the issue would show why it works that way and the reasoning behind it.
