God I hate heavy metal and all similar genres!!
Thanks for sharing?
What do you want? It's an off-topic forum that's mostly devoted to neffing so yeah I'm sharing more than many are actually.
Not my favorite ever, but I love this beat and the bassline:
Daft Punk - Around the World
EDIT: And the video is a masterpiece of creativity.
God I hate heavy metal and all similar genres!!
Don't listen to it then?
metal > you
I'm not clicking any of them. I'm almost 100% sure they're rickrolls.
Believe me I try not to, then someone makes a thread like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwWMhjD1VyY is still my favorite beat of all time, though.
I've heard of people talking about Daft Punk before, but never checked them out until this Post. Great beat. Decided to listen to some of their other stuff and found this:First Track on this part--Television Rules the Nation
Great stuff.
I also like Kid Koala's Third World Lover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGswl9psCWI&fmt=18
and RJD2's Iced Lightning (he has several good ones): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpVfYnuD15w&fmt=18
oh yeah and DJ Shadow of course: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy6jLvRgOhc&fmt=18

It's got some interesting quirks, very memorable, but...really? Best beat ever? It's fairly basic at the end of the day.
I'd have a tough time picking a best beat EVER, but the lilting asymetric 10/8 - 12/8 flip-flops in Sufjan Stevens's "The Tallest Man, The Broadest Shoulders" is probably one of the best beats cooked up in a long time in any musical genre. It is so unforgettable that the second I saw the words "coolest beat" it immediately came to my mind. It's driving and energizing, complex and challenging without going over the top.
