For no other reason than he's got nothing of value to say. I never understood how he got the reputation of being revolutionary. He's an over the top method (at times) artist who takes himself too serious and He believes his every thought is golden. I've always been saddened that because he thinks it, he has managed to convince so many to believe it. Yuck! Kayne is a completely ridiculous human being. Though I admit to going back and forth from being annoyed to harshly laughing at his obsession with his belief that his thoughts are deep. He's a neurotic asshole first and foremost.

That assumes a calculated motive, which might be partially true. However, from what I've seen of his behavior over the years, he comes across as a narcissist like Trump. Meaning I don't think he can help himself. He always has to be the center of attention.

I don't quite know the context he was speaking in (I have not looked), but there was definitely a choice for at least one group of people when it came to slavery. White people *chose* to perpetuate that evil institution, and even fought a war in an attempt to maintain it.

Edit: to be clear, it was definitely not a "choice" for the enslaved.
