every rebate i've gotten from CC comes out a little printer they have instore that prints out these long rebates for everything you purchase when you purchase it.

i doubt they'd have them listed online but i could be wrong

CircuitCity has been posting all their specials online along with online rebate forms but they don't post them until early Sunday mornings. What I usually do is order them online on sunday morning for "instore pick-up" that way you don't have to run down to the store to see if they are still in stock. They don't/haven't been charging any extra fee for this.

Definitely a winmodem based on a PCTel chip. I got one a couple of weeks ago free after MIR. I haven't tried it out yet, but there was a very infomative discussion of modem chipsets. Suffice it to say PCTel was universally thought to be the worst. (But free!?!)

That same week there were also free after rebate modems at Staples and CompUSA. I got all three. All different brands. All PCTel chips. I getting the feeling that the PCTel chipset line may be in the process of getting the ax. It might explain why all these modems are being given away.

I don't know how good or bad they are for the cdrs, but when I got there this morning Sunday when store opens, there were only 2 on the shelf.
