Anyway, my point is simply that despite not having an existing interest in the comic books, I found the movies (unexpectedly) entertaining. Somehow the visual spectacle of it all, and perhaps the fact that it involves real human actors, makes it more engaging for me on the screen than in comic form. Seems like it was waiting for CGI and special effects technology to make it possible to represent these stories on screen. Marvel definitely seems more interesting than DC, though, partly because they seem more inclined to humour and the characters are less bland (Superman is _such_ a boring character, and Batman only seems to be able to retell his origin story over-and-over again).
