For $15 more you can get a 2500 Barton, Isn't that worth it?

thorntons shouldnt be compared to durons since durons only have 128kb l2
they should be compared to tbred-b's, if anything (dont know if they perform better, but should perform exact)
i have a 2000+ (1667mhz) thorton (12.5 x 133) and just bumped the fsb to 166, == 12.5 x 166 = 2083mhz no vcore increase at all

With the Bartons being so cheap, what's the point?

Price is relative to many things. In the case of Thorntons they have a niche in countries where $20 means a weeks wages.
