What temperature do you keep the A/C on?

79 if we're lounging around the house. I think yesterday we got to 103 or so.

I keep it at 80F, or if I'm especially pissed off, 78-79. It gets humid as shit around here. Last week was like the Amazon. I hate the heat, but I could deal with it better it weren't so humid.

Pretty much. If energy were free, I'd set it to 60F :^D

As it is, I have limited resources, and every dollar that goes to something not fun(AC, petrol, heat, clothes...) is money that gets taken away from fun stuff. Besides, the cooler it is inside, the more miserable it feels when you go out.. It's kind of like taking the peaks off the pain chart.

No shit. Comfortable for me is 69-70 degrees, with an outside temperature of 90-100. I don't give a shit what the temperature is outside, it's going to be 69-70 inside.

I have a super energy efficient 1 bedroom apartment so I keep it at 65 or so and my elec bill comes out to be about $40 in June/July/August.

Usually around 78. Southern Ontario gets these really humid summers. Some days you can almost cut the air with a knife. I usually don't run the AC at all of it's not humid out. Or I'll just put it on at night for comfortable sleeping.

74. Phoenix AZ here. AC runs almost 24/7 in the summer with monthly bills around $350/mo. It's worth it though, never understood sacrificing comfort to save a little dough.

That is a low bill for 74 and the Arizona heat. I have heard of people in Texas paying higher than that. Electricity much be on the inexpensive side in Arizona.

73. If I had my way, it would be 68. But my wife hates the cold so she complains if I set it too low. My basement is 62 degrees so I hang out there during the summer.

76 or 77 with the high humidity here, otherwise I sweat my ass off, and change shirts multiple times a day.

And if I set it any lower, it strains the ac and it hardly ever stops running during the day. At 77 it cycles on and off on a more regular basis. So that's the sweet spot on it.

Posts like this are suspect. Either the thermostat is wrong, or it's positioned so its near a vent, thus the reading is lower than elsewhere in the house. And who likes freezing their asses off after taking a bath or shower? Or do you turn the heater on for that? 67 is just way too cold for me.

67 is balmy. Three more degrees on the outside temperature, and I start bitching about the heat. I quit wearing dark Tshirts at 65F because they draw too much heat. 60F is the perfect indoor temperature, and 50-55 and overcast is perfect for outside.
