Thought I'd test 0-60 this morning.

Second run was .06s slower though. Doh. Hadn't done a good test with clean tires since I rolled over the mark where the VVT is fully available, so I figured I'd see what it would do.

Just saw a 08 or 09 SRT yesterday someone painted 'pimp' pink.

Looked terrible. I hope yours is a 'real' color!

What was your tire pressure? e: Also what tires? Pretty respectable time.

around 40-42psi, the much-hated GY Eagle F1 Supercars. They're good enough that I'm not going to replace them until they wear out.

Color is "Toxic Orange" with silver stripes.

I'd not have a pre-11 challenger unless I planned to completely replace the suspension. They drove somewhat like boats.

don't you love car gadgets these days?

Still amazes me to this day we can spend a grand and add launch control and traction control to most cars. Amazes me even more that Chrystler would actually put that in stock in a car.

Well, I don't have launch control (not sure if they're even putting it on the viper). Ford's doing that with the GT500 though.

It does have 0-60, braking distance, 1/4, 1/8 etc. Though, obviously the distance ones aren't very accurate if you spin/slide. You can totally trick the 0-60 one if you really wanted to by spinning up to 60 mph (but why?).

The G-meter is nice. Instantaneous and peak are listed.

One would hope they put some toys in for what they charge for these things though.

Good toys! Its all about bragging rights. Most people who own a SRT or any higher end race type of car should know all the numbers stats.

Plus they are more likely to be modded and this is perfect to test out the gains or loses.

Wish I had something like that. All my car tells me is MPG.

For a few hundred bucks you can get after market devices that will tell you all this, In my opinion this stuff should have been going in sports cars a long time ago.

I think I only have 0-60 function in my R/T. I should have done this when I was in the desert and no one was around. Whats your best 1/4 time?

I've not taken it to a track, and while I will do 0-60 on a totally empty, straight stretch of 55MPH limited highway, no way am I going to do a 1/4mile except a track.

That, and as I said, the indicators that factor in distance aren't the most accurate.

I would love to do this on my 300zx this year. I can get most of what race logic can do from nistune but all speeds traction control with adjustability just sounds too awesome for situational use.

 Awesome time.

I wonder how accurate those things are though.

They're accurate as long as you aren't spinning when you cross 60mph, then they're totally off. I think the M6 transmission is pretty bad if you spin on the 1-2 shift you can easily bump the speedometer up over 60 and have some weird time in the 3's which the car can't do (obviously). That particular metric is trivial to measure as long as the speedometer is accurate (which this one is at least up until the 120's)

The 4.40 was on the same place but in the opposite direction to make sure there wasn't much of a grade at all (appears flat there).

Very cool, especially that it's stuck in there stock! I think basically any ODBII car can do this sort of thing with the right computer, like a DashHawk.

The g-meter is dangerous though. It's always taunting me to push it just a little farther. tsk tsk.

Bluetooth OBDII dongle thing + Torque app = $29

Can do live recording with your phone/tablet with tons of customizable OSD gauges.

I believe the speedometer is accurate. When I hit 140 the limiter kicked in, which is when it should.

Silly RTs and their speed limiters... That's one "feature" I'm missing.

Its somewhat of a shame...acceleration was constant then you just hit the limiter. But its rare that you get the chance to run into it.
