Unfortunately by the time you will be conclusively proven wrong by hardware running actual code, no will will care to remember about this pointless debate because we're talking about things pretty far into the future (512-bit AVX). That is unless you single handedly keep this thread alive up until that point Code compiled for AVX and the VEX prefix will run on future AMD processors starting with Bulldozer, JFAMD has confirmed that in this very thread. That should end the discussion.

You're just too stubborn. I guess you cannot be told things. You have to figure them out on your own. I would recommend you forget everything you think you know about these things and read the documents with an open mind. I don't expect you will though.

AVX recompiled SSE2 and other recompiles will show up with the release of SB-e . BD will show around the same time . If we had Recompiled SSe programs now it wouldn't do us any good as BD is no wear to be found. IIano desktop is a 3rd qt launch also . Previews do not equal launch .
