I'm 6'1" and when I was 230 and out of shape I thought 200 sounded like a good number, as 185 is the "high" end of "normal" according to BMI.

I'm now at 215, lifting for the last 3 months every other day. No cardio, but I get my peak HR while lifting in the low 180s and averages in the mid 140s according to my HRM.

I don't think I want to get any smaller, just lower my body fat a bit more. (looking at Athlean-x sample pics i'm probably real close to 19 - 21% still)

Any thoughts on this?

eat raspberries?

you could try eating fish for your protein. what do you eat?

would recommend at least some cardio. always been a fan of being athletecally fit.

also you could try some high quality raspberry keytones or green coffee extract. you would have to research it online and fine a high quality and reputable brand as after dr. oz the market has exploded with cheap knockoffs. if you consistanty drink something like fuze that might work as that has that carcina gombagna fruit in it. other than the fuze i have no experience with this stuff. the fuze made a small but seemingly noticeable differnce if you drank it consistantly.

Raspberries? I use a 1/4 cup in my after workout shake. 8oz whole milk, 4oz greek yogurt, 1 scoop On Gold Standard whey, tablespoon flax seed.

As far a protein, Chicken breast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, steak(not so much lately though)

Not sure what this had to do with my post, I guess I don't agree with the BMI. I know I want to lower my body fat % to somewhere between 10-15%, that will happen slowly but surely though.

I guess I'm just thinking I should maintain the 215lb caloric level, I use myfitnesspal to track, instead of keeping it at the 200lb level i had it set at earlier.

raspberries have keytones which are a phytonutrient that drives fat loss. not sure how much are in natural raspberries. green coffee extract supplements are also used for fat loss. fish is a lean and very nutritious food. fish has protein and omega 3 fatty acids. depending on what kind you get you can also get creatine. you could try eating mushrooms and green leaf foods to make your body fitter and that might improve your metabolism or give you weight loss. you do not have to lose muscle if you want to lose some fat. just be content with a gradual fat loss while maintaining your muscle mass.

If you want to lower your body fat, you have to be in a deficit. If you don't want to lose muscle during this, you have to stimulate muscle growth.

Also, weight is really just a number. Does it matter what you weigh if you look how you want to look? Use it as a tool to help gauge where you are and how you're getting their. Other than that, who cares?

Ok, let me rephrase it.

I have made a bit of progress in the last 3 months, looking at pictures I would say I've lost 5%+ body fat.

Do I keep going the way I am, by eating 1800 calories a day based on a 200lb target (+ any calories burned working out according to my HRM)

Or bump up to 2120 calories based on my current weight of 215 as a maintenance intake.

I seem to be gaining muscle currently and losing fat, just worried I may start losing muscle. Like I said earlier, I'm doing no cardio, just squats, bench and shrugs at the moment. Throwing deadlifts in the mix soon.
