Thoughts on LG V10

Seems like a better LG G4, I actually like the materials they chose. What do you guys think?

The secondary screen seems so silly to me - it's like Samsung's but even more useless. I'd much rather a Nexus 6P - great specs and with stock Android phones at least the specs usually at least somewhat translate to performance real world. Unlike skinned Android where it could have 20 cores and still not hit 60FPS sustained fluidity becomes of crappy UI overlays. Also up to the minute updates? You just can't beat it. I've owned a few LG phones (both Windows phones and Android) and I've always been disappointed with their support and implementation; with the exception of the N5.

At first I was thinking that extra display was stupid too. But the more I saw of it, the more acceptable it became to me. It's up there right next to the camera, so that would probably have just been bezel anyway, so it's not like it's wasted space.

And I like that the main display can be powered off and this tiny secondary display can still be showing information.

I love that they have a silicone rubber back, I think that's great. I'm tired of the aluminum and glass phones that I worry will get scratched easily (and they do). I'd like to see more rubberized soft touch materials on phones.

However I think the phone itself is kinda on the fugly side. They have a texturized rubber surface on the back, a flat plastic looking surface on the top and bottom, and metal looking sides. Just way too many different design things going on that don't seem to mesh together well to my eye. And apparently it's on the heavy side.
