Thoughts on Sony Cybershot DSC-W290

Anyone have any experience with this one? Basically looking to spend a few hundred on one with a good shutter speed. Considering this one since my SonyRewards points will end up giving this to me for free

Im not sure about this one. I had a s600, a very basic 6mpx camera, and i was always amazed by the sharpness of the pictures it took. Sadly one day when the battery died its lens got stuck and never worked again I hope they fixed this problem, Ive heard of other people having this issue. My old w70 has never let me down though, and optical performance is pretty good in the wide end of the focal range. For p/s, especially budget-midrange models, I think sony is a good way to go. Hope this helps in some way!
