a tsx is a sports car?

I think he said he's thinking about getting TSX as DD, AND replace his WRX to real/better sports car.. Not TSX is replacing WRX because it's sports car.

Anyway, 04-08 TSX is fine car.. as long as it's taken care. Fairly fun to drive for DD as well.

I had a 2005 for 4.5 years.

Super reliable never had a problem. Main thing that sucked was its not too powerful so you need to floor it a lot like on the Fwy so its not as quiet as some other premium cars.

Doors are not so luxury sounding either. Its more like a premium small accord. But very good car if you know its what you want. As a dd it'll be great.

You might want to hold out for a 2006+ if you use the phone. Those have BT

Yeah the TSX would be a daily. Looking for higher millage ones because I know how to work on the K series motor. Parts should be abundant as alot of parts are shared with accord.

Does seem like a gutless motor, but if I could get headers/intake and a tune (keep exhaust stock and quiet) to get maybe 20ish hp for cheap I'd do it.

I have an 06 MT. I like it, my only gripe is the paint sucks. It has very little chip resistance, so my hood looks terrible after 90k. Other than that it has been great.

I had an 06 MT for about a year before selling it for a WRX. It's a great choice for DD, as it's comfortable, has enough power for freeway, and quiet enough. My car had a Hondata reflash and a rear sway bar upgrade on it, that made feel bit more "sportier" than the regular ones I test-drove. Not too impressed with the mileage, especially since it requires premium.

I've always wanted a WRX, so hence I got rid of it. I still feel dumb sometimes for doing that.

I love the TSX myself.
Been debating going that route as a next car actually.
K-series engine is gold. Love it.

I had a 5at. I remember the milage was not too bad. Not fantastic or anything but you could average 33mpg if you drove say 70mph.

Go 06 & above.. my 05 just hit 160k, luckily i had extended warranty up to 120k.

AC died around 90k, nav computer went twice (major repair), no access to AC control, radio control, etc.

Avoid 04/early 05, known to have AC problems.

Trading it in this weekend. I would keep it but I need 2 kids now and its a bit small for 2 kids

What about a more recent, fully loaded accord sedan with a v6 engine? I was looking at TSX as well but then the accord seems to be a better option? I've never driven a TSX so I can't compare.. thoughts?

I had an 04 manual from late 04 until I bought my 09 WRX. It had ~56k miles on it when I traded it in. Overall it was a great car. I had no problems whatsoever, the transmission and steering made it fun to drive, even if the power was a bit low. I averaged mid-20's on 91 octane which, for that power level, was a bit dissappointing.

Meh

but MUCH better than the new ugliness Acura keeps giving us

Going from WRX to TSX is a downgrade in terms of performance.
