"The XBOX is not meant, like some of you people think, to totally eradicate PC Gaming as it exists today - it appeals to a different market segment."
Your right!! Microsoft has stated time and time again that the Xbox will not infringe on the PC platform. It's a totally different experience.
For instance, AOE series, UT and Diablo 2 are better played on a PC. Some games are truly single player experiences, where a monitor, keyboard and mouse are needed to fully enjoy the game. Also, Microsoft would be nuts to infringe on PC gaming. they have too much invested. Chris Taylor's Dungeon Siege will be out in a few months and will only be on the PC. And it's a Microsoft product. Same for Age of mythology. A PC game from the guys that produced the million selling AOE series and it will too be a Microsoft product. Also there plane and train simulations are all PC products and are produced by Microsoft. And all are highly profitable!
