I didn't see a price, but my config beats that one by a mile, mostly memory. 2400 ? and I have 3600 ?

That system is 7800 AUD and I guarantee your setup is better. That's why I always build my own. These custom type builds skimp on certain things. RAM being one of those things. Still it looks pretty damn awesome in that case.

If you are already paying $8K for a system, then the processor price argument goes away for the most part.

Welcome to the world of aus PC pricing. They have a 7900X system for a grand less but it uses some cheaper parts. Whereas the TR uses the most expensive motherboard available etc. OK I will stop bitching about the pricing in aus.

I got a 1950X, 128GB of Corsair DDR4-2666 on the Asus Zenith.
Using the AIO adapter on the Thermaltake 360.
Not sure what to think about this. 50C idle is off, same +20 bug as Ryzen?
In any case, left everything in AUTO and put multi at 40.
Windows shows 4GHz.
Cinebench 15 at stock was just over 3k.
Cinebench 11 ROARS until the last few tiles and it slows, score is 20000. WTF! Acts like something is throttling.
WinRAR as expected is terrible like Ryzen, about 1/4 of my 6950x...

Love the size of the CPU and (finally) LGA on AMD!
Reminds me when I got my first Pentium Pro 200 over 20 years ago!
And like that chip, some things just aren't taking advantage of its capabilities.

EDIT:

HOPEFULLY EK will release a FULL COPPER Supreme TR4 series block with cold plate and FULL finned area covering the ENTIRE CPU!!! These current AIOs are a compromise for sure. If EK won't HK probably will as long as it's not a $400 pure silver version.
Its not a bug, its an offset implemented by AMD, here its explained the reason of it:

https://community.amd.com/community/gaming/blog/2017/03/13/amd-ryzen-community-update

Offset for Threadripper is even higher, +27ºC. Use HWINFO64 https://www.hwinfo.com/download.php , it reports "Tctl" temp (this is the one with the +27ºC offset) and "Tdie" temp. This one is the real CPU temperature.

You guys can try some of these benches, aside Cinebench or winrar:

-built-in 7-zip benchmark http://www.7zip.org
-Corona renderer https://corona-renderer.com/benchmark/
-built-in VeraCrypt benchmark https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/
-built-in Pov-ray benchmark http://povray.org/download/
-V-Ray benchmark https://www.chaosgroup.com/vray/benchmark (to downloading it, registration is a need, but its free)
-the Handbrake encodig test posted in the forum some time ago: http://www.portvapes.co.uk/?id=Latest-exam-1Z0-876-Dumps&exid=threads/benchmark-your-computer-with-handbrake-1-01-and-x265.2497224/

I must be driving the folks I am purchasing my hardware from nuts. I decided to half my RAM to 32gb (4x8gb @3000mhz) I am thinking 64gb was overkill and that gives me 450$ to put towards my new graphics card. Which will most likely be a gigabyte gtx1080ti AIO set up.....
Yeah, i'm trying to decide what future capacity I want to set myself for..
Whether or not to set up my build starting w/ 2@16GB (32GB) Dual RANK sticks or go with 4x8GB (32GB) Single RANK sticks. By Going with 16GB sticks, I can push to 128GB. By Going with 8GB sticks my scale ceiling is 64GB. That being said, I get this feeling from proven data that you are going to hit limits quick with Dual RANK w.r.t to speed that you wont with Single RANK. So, I have to consider the speed tradeoff. My understanding is that you're not going to push 16GB Dual Rank modules @ 3600 past two sticks. Whereas, you can push 3600 speeds on Single rank sticks up to 4. The issue here is.. the capacity is the same for both (32GB). You can see this in the custom kit from G.Skill for threadripper ... They're showing you the combo limits :

Notice how they don't even both with 64GB. I think the reason is simple, you're going to head towards 2933 the minute you put more than 4 sticks in. So, this leads me to grand question for anyone with 8 sticks of 8GB or 8 sticks of 16GB :

What speed are they rated at and what speed can you achieve on the board plugging them in?

K, so we got one person whose able to run 8 sticks @ 16GB a pop but only at 2666.
The kit here demonstrates the max speed for such a config is 2933 :

Now i'm curious if the same restriction holds for 8GB modules or if the clock max is even lower. More curious is 8GBx8 (64GB) of 3600 rated ram. Would love to know if you can run 8GB single rank at 3600 and if not what is the max.

Meh.... https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/3611193

j/k

Why does amd perform so poorly in geekbench? We all know the MT performance is there, why does it not show?
Actually, I'd like to know this. I think the reason is that Geek bench is not coded for NUMA architectures and thus is treating threadripper like an 8 core processor only. Thus the results are literally a ryzen 1800x compared to a 7820x.

Aida64

How is that ? and a link to firestrike ?
Very nice. So, how did you achieve this? is this literally going off the XMP setting and just cranking up the speed to 3600. 3600@CL16 across the board [official]. Question : are these 3200@CL14 modules or 3600@CL16 ram modules?

If this board can run 128GB at 3600 14-14-14-34-1T!
LOL, this is not gonna happen.
G.Skill is showing the clock limit of such a config IMO @2933 :
http://www.portvapes.co.uk/?id=Latest-exam-1Z0-876-Dumps&exid=threads/threadripper-builders-thread.2512631/page-16#post-39033528
which is still amazing IMO just not 3600. What I want to know is what is the clock limit of 8x8GB SR and what is the clock limit of 2x16GB and 4x16GB. Essentially, we need someone with top spec 8x16GB modules and possible even 8x8GB to drop the details of such arrangements. Sadly for the 16x8 (128GB) that's like $1400 worth of ram but I know there is a Mr.Money pants lurking around here somewhere.

If we get the bases covered on
32/64/128GB ram combos on 8GB SR and 8GB DR modules on highly qualified ram that'd actually be a valuable review detail that none of the review sites provided.

Also, since I have it and when my shipments come in.. I'll be able to reply as to whether or not G.Skill 3200 samsung b-die@CL14 can hit 3600@CL16 (16-16-16) timings out the box. Going to yank 2 sticks out of my other setup and slap them in the threadripper and see how things go.

BTW, running prime95@stock, and its 53c max !!! according to coretemp@3.6 ghz per task manager

Overclocking next !!!!
It seems that cooler does the job well. So XFR is 3.6? I thought it was 3.5, just like 1700X
