Decided on going with a new case for my Threadripper build.

I got the tempered glass upgrade kit too.

Going to wall mount my rig. This should go fantastically with my MSI Gaming X 1080 Ti video card and the MSI Carbon AC X399 motherboard. Going with all nvme drives will seriously cut back on visible cables too.

Also bought a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Riing RGB 360mm CLC.

hmmmm, that's interesting. I might go with what I know and switch to a H115i from corsair.

Someone on Reddit saying Amazon told him to expect delivery of his threadripper and motherboard in September. He claims to have pre-ordered on the first day they opened up. I contacted Amazon about my order, said I'll have it by the 11th of August. I have a feeling people who ordered an Asus motherboard might be in for a wait...seems to be the most popular brand. I went with MSI myself.

What about some Corsair tempered glass cases such as Crystal 570 or 460? or an Air 740? (I love mine)

I just dont like TT as a brand. I own Riing Plus 12 RGB fans, and software to control them is total crap. No more TT for me

Yeah. I looked at the corsair crystal cases. In fact I looked at a lot of cases with tempered glass panels. The TT suits my needs as far as fitting radiators into it. mid towers seem to be a bit restrictive in that regard.

I have owned TT cases previously and they were fine. Their gaming stuff is anyway. Now I just have to wait.....

I just called newegg (where I ordered mine from) They won't ship until the release date, so I may not get mine until next Tuesday.!!! arg.....

My card was just charged for the 1950. I ordered the X399 Taichi at the same time as the 1950x but it wasn't charged yet. I also noticed that the x399 taichi is sold out...

I am calling them immediately on the phone to ensure they don't proceed further until they have the motherboard paired with it as well. I'm not going to sit around looking at a processor for a week or more as it slides out of its return period and I have no way of testing it.

This is why you cut off the pre-order when it exceeds your ability to ship it.
I'm assuming that this is what newegg did now that the Taichi is unavailable. It seems Amazon is notorious for not doing this. I'll be making phone calls soon to find out what's going on. I'm still not clear why only newegg stocks the ASRock Taichi motherboard...

I just got off the phone with customer service. They indicated what is already sensical :
Pre-orders have preference on inventory once it gets in likely on a first come first serve basis. This is before it will be allowed to go back in stock or any other non pre-orders are fulfilled

That being said, I am actually happy to see it out of stock. That gives me comfort that they are doing some form of logistics on the pre-order volume levels. I find it a bit weird that newegg is the only company that is selling the Asrock Taichi whereas you can find all other boards on amazon for instance... That being said, it appears a number of people have similar taste.. *looks at Mark

It sounds weird, but can you take pics at the store if they have the mobos/processors lined up. It's such a rarity to see such things in a retail store where I live. I want to wallow in the feels a bit.

Yes they do. I have subscribed to their newsletter and got an email regarding TR. GPUs such as the 1080Ti were sold out in 2 mins on release day. This might be slightly different as there are not too many people looking to drop $800+ on a CPU.
I'm going out of state tomorrow and returning Sunday so I might wait until Monday to visit my store. But I will post pics for you

That is SOOOOO close to my build, same motherboard, CPU, I am pretty sure the memory is functionally the same (No RGB for me), and AIO 360 cooler, a very similar case, and possibly the video card. EXCEPT I have TWO 1080TI FTW3 cards that will be here Friday,
