How powerful of a processor are they ?
Say for gaming. Of course a very demanding game.
Threadrippers aren't for gaming. They can game, sure, but you would be better off with a Ryzen or Core for that.
From what I can find Planet Coaster uses 4 cores at the most. So the 78oox3d would be better.I totally agree but what about for a game like Cities Skylines 2 or Planet Coaster ?
In Cities Skylines 2 thread loading at worst is around 60% with 8c/16t CPU(5800X3D). This means unless you have less than 6 cores(w/SMT), it's all about single thread perf. Buying more cores for idling makes no sense whatsoever. And the game is really GPU heavy in current form.I totally agree but what about for a game like Cities Skylines 2 or Planet Coaster ?
CS2's problems are with it needing 10GB minimum of GPU memory due to how its modeling the people in the game. On top of just game bugs in general.
