Threatning emails...anyone ever get these?

A friend of mine tells me she's having these threatning emails sent to her...constantly. About 2 times a week...and the content of the letter changes every month. She says it is sent by her own email address ...and there has never been an ID...

Now who ever is sending these letters...damned sick mofo's...
We dont know if they are real...serious...hackers...or whatevers.

Please tell me if you ever heard of this case, I care for my friend dearly and want to get to the bottom of this.

have your friend check the verbose header for all of the emails..

Well, if it is her regular email address, she could request her isp to trace the e-mail. Couldn't they do that somehow?

Why not just block sender? Notify your ISP first.

Send an email back telling them to get off the caps lock.

Get the IP. They're using a ghost mailer to fake it being from her email addy.

Also, as others have said, notify your ISP.
