I have Windows XP Professional and I have just downloaded and installed Mozilla Thunderbird 0.8. I upgraded from version 0.7 and I deleted \Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird like I usually do for upgrades before installing.
Currently, the problem is that Thunderbird will not run if it starts through the Profile Manager. In that unfortunate case, the process starts, but then nothing happens and the process closes. I can start it without the profile manager, but then I'd have to change the default account and then start the program to check the other account's mail.
I have tried reinstalling and creating new accounts; it simply isn't working. Do any of you have any similar bugs, or at least some reasons as to why this there is a problem?
