My temperatures are quite bad. I have a Thunderbird 1200@1400, 1.8volt and the temperatures are about 54c idle and 59c full load. When it gets really warm in my room (about 30c) my computer gets unstable and I'm forced to downclock it to 1350mhz with default voltage.
I'm using a Taisol 742092 (default fan) with some artic silver. Case is a A-open Hq-08 with one Panaflo L1A 120mm in the front and two 80mm L1a Panaflo's in the back. The airflow is not optimal. Almost all the heat is forced through the PSU.
I'm thinking of modding my case. PSU to the top, so that the two 80mm fans are more effective than now.
I'm going to lap the heatsink and maybe I'll replace the default delta fan.
If this all won't work I'll buy a different heatsink..the Swiftech 462
mine are high too , around 50 C idle, 55 C full oad, but it never lock's up so I dont worry , I ran this cpu on a MSI K7T-Turbo and were about 10 C cooler, so I tend to believe that it just read's higher.
