Repeating again, has anyone tried PMing Circuit City's price of 69.99 to another store and use a coupon if there's one for that store?

I just picked up this one from OD. $45+tax. PM to CC (69.99) and used $20 coupon, and there is $5 coupon in OD site.

I don't believe the TI-85 is even made anymore, it was replaced by the TI-86. I have a TI-86 and I think its much much better than a Ti-83, or an 83+, or even the 83 silver edition.

The Ti-89 is great, however I think alot of classes specifically ban this calculator (on a high school level) and I also believe it isn't permitted for the ACT's.

No TI-89 on the ACT

Cool, did you print out the page with the TI-83+ on Circuit City's page and take it to OD or tell them about it?

I just tried that. Not working!

They claimed the coupon is not valid with other offers. That means pricematching. Oh well! If any of you finds a better way to knock down the price, please let me know.

Thanks.

I just used the pricematching and $10 off 50 coupon printed out. It worked! Total came out to be $64.79 after TAX.

I bought a 83+ from OD for $49.99 by getting them to price match Circuit City's $69.99 and using the $20 off $50 coupon.

After reading about how great the 86 was, I then traded it in at OM for an 86 for $10 more. (Credit of $99 towards $109 purchase). Didn't open the 83+ so I don't feel bad about doing the deal since OM can sell the 83+ easily.

Where do I get this $20 off $50 coupon? Can someone please PM me about this? I'm taking Collage Algebra and Physics this semester and I can't seem to find my HP so I'll need a new calculator.

Also, if you bought it at Office Depot, they have an additional $5 rebate online. Linkie

i don't think so... it would be way too slow to operate (human operation, that is)

NeXus 4400:

OfficeMax Preview today (officially sale starts Sunday) in the Phoenix market shows the TI-89 at $119.99. Not a bad price for the model and you could pm it to a store with a coupon (or bring a staples coupon in to OfficeMax for the PM).

How'd you do this when you only paid $49 out of your pocket?

I called two OM stores near my house and both said they didn't have an "uptrade" program where you could trade in a ti-83 for a ti-86. As a matter of fact, one was quite "bitchy" about the idea.

Still quite a steal for a ti-83 though if you can get it. I almost never have luck with these deals but the Office Depot in my town allowed me to use the PM + the 20 off 50 coupon + gave me an additional $5 rebate. They also had the free connection kits ($15 -$15 MIR).

Bump. I'm a senior in high school this year and I have this calculator. It runs some sweet games. I suppose you could use it for school too. Nah, just kidding I used it for school every day. It will be used this year too for AP Calculus I can't wait....

they wont let you bring a palm into a exam. but a ti83 will be allow in most of the test. if you are getting into engineering or physics, a Ti89 or 92 helps a lot since it helps to verify your derivative or intergral ... or do it for you in another word ... but beware some of the professor wont let you bring those into the test.
