i know. i dont mean to make this an advertisement... but my god are these things AWESOME

i was hesitant to start buying them because of the price. however, once you start using them you realize there is no waste, so the cost is the same or better then the big ole heavy box or bottle.

they work great, clothes always come out perfect. but the convenience! oh my god! just grab one and throw it in the basket with your clothes. it will end up in the wash no hassle!

for a single man, these are just plain kick-ass.

I don't like that you can't measure. You can get by with 1/4 of what the instructions call for. Agitation provides the cleaning more so than the detergent.

if your clothes dont really get dirty, yeah. but im a construction worker. i find what the directions say is usually just right.

and this is WAAAYY easier then pouring liquid or powder! i feel like i dont even add detergent anymore. its like throwing an extra sock in the load

Point noted. I agree in your case it'd be good.

No more sticky rings the shape of a detergent bottle on top of the dryer - not sure who manages that, since it's not me and there are only 2 of us in the house. Plus, despite there being a line on the inside of the cap, showing you how high to fill it, my wife always filled the cap to overflowing. The pods are going to cut our laundry costs in half.
Well, until she decides to start throwing in 2 or 3 of them.

he doesnt use deodorant. that sucks in my book. i even know girls who dont use strong enough deodorant. you can smell their pits! i dont want to smell your shitty pheromones!
Agree. The summer can be quite rough when dealing with the public.D:

No soap ring on his washer. He wasn't washing his clothes either.
I think the problem is actually being alleviated since I started aggressively washing my clothes.

The only advantage I can see from these things would be if you lived in an apartment complex where the laundry units were far away. Instead of lugging around a detergent bottle+ other stuff, you just grab one (or two) of these and go.

thats so disgusting because you know he just gets used to smelling himself. i actually just stop talking to a girl that i was trying to date... and i have to admit her bo was part of the problem. she only showered every few days, she said she liked to save water and its not healthy for your hair to wash it all the time.

well, imo she isnt using the right shampoo then because i wash my hair everyday sometimes twice, and its fine.

she even left a dress here once and the next day it just STUNK like bo! i didnt even notice the night before because i guess i was used to her! ugh... that dress was so bad i had to wash it. it was like her perfume was BO scent...

whats so hard about pouring in soap and bleach?
There is a lot of chemistry that went into designing these dissolvable pod-style pacakages. It allows for separating various cleaning components that are not stable when stored together, but then can be combined when they need to be. It's become fairly important for dishwashing soaps. The old style single-bottle phosphate containing soaps worked well, but were environmentally damaging. To get washing that was on par with those soaps, chemical companies created new formulas, but they need to have the components stored separately in order to work.

From a cost/load standpoint, it is A LOT more expensive than regular detergent. You better believe it!

Tide liquid detergent 96 loads: $17.97 = $0.19/load

Tide Pods 72 cts (loads): $17.97 = $0.25/load

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tide-Pods-...-72ct/19856479

It's 32% more costly to use Tide Pods than just regular Tide liquid detergent. P&G is hoping for more consumers like you so they can rake in more profit!
