I just got back. Basically they still haven't unpacked a lot of their merchandise and the stuff they do have are OEM/retail products that are overpriced (like much of tigerdirect.com's retail stuff). I walked around for a little bit then left. Not worth going imo.

I remember seeing the Tiger store last time I was at Outback. Was some kinda music store there before.

I also got a flyer about it in the mail, nothing caught my eye. I mean what is a B&M gonna have that the mail-order side will not.

Question: Are you going to be able to return online purchases to the store on capital?

I got a 50 pack of dvd-r and dvd x copy express for 17.06 and 26.91 respectively. Good deal, but not a great deal. I'll give them a few days to get set up before I pass judgment. The guy there said several new stores will open soon including 2 in Miami, 1 in Ft. Lauderdale and several other places. I hope they get some clearance items in and then maybe a few good deals. Until then, just a little competition for Intrex and CompUSA.

Don't buy anything from them, they will rip you off. If you don't believe me, check Forum Issues and past postings on Hot Deals. They illegaly charged a bunch of AT'ers' charge cards $50.

There is at least one good guy there though who goes by bruce. He seems to want to fix the huge f'ed up company known as Tiger. He posts on here every once and a while, and AFAIK has helped a few AT'ers out when Tiger direct fvcked them over.

But if a company fvcks over a bunch of people and has been reported to the BBB 100's of times, they do not deserve buisness.

There has been a Tiger Direct Outlet store in the Chicago Suburbarn area for a while. The bonuses of having one nearby are pickup online orders at store, clearance section in the back from returned online product orders, and super saturday sales. The clearance section will sometimes have products damaged from shipping, so be sure to check the product out before purchasing it. I haven't seen a super saturday sale in awhile now, but I am sure they still happen. People would be lining up in front of the door at 8 am (store opens at 10am) nearly every saturday, not even knowing what the specials would be sometimes.

I have shopped at Tiger Direct for many years now and have had no problems whatsoever.

That would make sense. I haven't been there yet, there certainly hasn't been much in the way of deals on their web site. However, I like the idea of the clearance section. Just too time-consuming to drive up Capital from Cary.
