I recently did an upgrade on my 2CPU box too reduce noise, I swapped out the HSF units and the Power Supply. I've run into some wierd issues with the second CPU and booting at 133FSB.
I'm working with two 1600XPs (came from the factory with the bridge intact), and so long as I have two CPUs in I can only get it too successfully post at 100MHz FSB.
If I put the second CPU in and try too boot at the 133MHz FSB I get REALLY strange behavior. If its boot to the point of BIOS functionality, I can get into the bios but can't change anything. It freezes up and won't do anything more. MOST of the time it will reach some random point and hang, and NEVER reaches any sort of attempt too boot the OS.
I'm pretty sure it's not a RAM problem or a jumper setting (on the FSB that is, I may have knocked off a jumper somewhere else). I know that my PSU is hooked up correctly and since it boots fine at 100MHz I don't think I can really blame the video/sound/network cards. I don't have a spare set of MP's lying around, otherwise I'd do a CPU swap.
Any ideas?
I want too try to run the gamut of tests. If I just hosed one of the CPUs I'll probably replace them with mobile Athlons, if I screwed up the board or something I'll probably upgrade my working entire system and throw a bunch of old HD's in this thing for storage.
