I guess this is a hot deal - since it is the first I've seen.

Does anyone make a burner for these yet? The size is nice, but seems like a lot to lose on just one expensive disc...
It took 44 minutes, 45 seconds to master 22GB of data to BD-R using the bundled Sonic DigitalMedia SE software.

Yeah, obviously, this will just get cheaper. When the first CD-R's came out, they were way more expensive and now they are FAR. I remember paying $800+ for a 2x Pinnacle Micro burner back in like 1998, and CD's were $10 each. So, we are already ~15000 times cheaper ($10/650MB CD ~= 15000x $22/25GB).

Anyone know are blu-ray discs and hd-dvd's as prone to scratching ?
Technology that Redefines Optical MediaCreated from the words "durability" and "shield," DURABIS (pronounced DURE-UH-BIS) makes discs more durable and reliable by greatly enhancing resistance to scratches, smudges (particularly from fingerprints)and dust adherence.
