Is this a particular good mobo? I'm in the market for a new one. I'm all about solid reliability and reasonably new-fangled-ness, but I don't want any part of the first run, ultra-high-tech stuff that still doesn't have decent drivers. I'm a v1.2 or greater sort of fellow.

Tiger Direct is reall only bad if you have to try to get them to honor or follow through on a rebate.....if that's the case, run for the hills.
On the other hand, if it's just a straight up price with no rebating involved, they're not bad at all. I've purchased from them a number of times, for cheaply priced items with no rebates, and have been quite happy with their packing, shipping speed, etc.

The BadAxe 2 is a bit better OC'er than the original version, but not as good as a comparable 975 board from another brand, such as ASUS.

I have a bad axe 2. It's a good overclocker when you void the warranty and turn on debug mode... Or else it only clocks up to 20% faster.
However, the thing is rock solid. No problem whatsoever.

I think he was talking about the original Bad Axe and not the "2" version. There is a debug "mod" that you can do with a conductive pen on that board.
