It was a "personal attack fest" from the start. You got with some like-minded bandwagoners to attack anyone who questioned the narrative based on the information presented.I'm done here, if this is just going to turn into a huge personal attack fest.
So what, you guys ended up being right once all the facts came out, but at the beginning you were jumping to conclusions, you can't just jump to conclusions before all the facts actually come out.
No additional facts came out. None.
Besides, you shouldn't shout-down and ridicule people for considering other possibilities and call them "racist" for not going along with the possibility you latched-on to.
Jumping to conclusions would be to assume that what the kid claims is the truth, despite there being obvious lies in the story he's telling.
Now they did. But it still does not excuse the school for getting cops involved for something that was literally a consumer product outside of it's original enclosure.
Keep saying that. An IED is often "literally a consumer product outside of its original enclosure." Sometimes, it even remains in the original enclosure. Imagine that! In the most recent successful IED attacks stateside, everything was contained inside normal-looking pressure cookers (Boston Marathon bombings).
The officials have to ask: "Why is this clock outside its original enclosure?" The kid's answer was a lie: "It's a clock. It's my invention. I built it." That doesn't add up.
I agree with this.Really, I wish the kid good luck, I hope he does actually get into electronics and does something good with his life.
He was rewarded immensely as a direct result of his actions. We have only reinforced that behavior, unfortunately. But I'm sure he learned his life lesson, don't try to act smart if you are not, you are literally treated as a terrorist.
