Time for a new laptop?

Made a deal with my boss awhile back that I can buy a new laptop every 2 years. Well it's about 3 months from that time and I've started looking around.

We run ~500 IBM laptops and just a few other misc types. I like to stick with IBM for various reasons. Right now I have a T42 that I like very much. Looked at the T60's and it seems like the laptop I would get if I was upgrading today. I'm sure I could move up my upgrade date to next week if I really wanted to but I don't mind waiting another 3-4 months if something new is coming out in that time frame. If the T60 is still going to be the newest IBM T sieres 3-4 months form now I might as well get it now.

I do alot of buisness work but I do some gaming on this laptop. Right now I have an ATI 9600 64mb in my t42 which does the job but just barely.

So basically how new is the T60 and is anything new coming out in the next 3-4 months from IBM?

the T60 is pretty new. would anything new come from IBM in the coming months? i doubt it. core duo is here to stay until that mobile chip that's based on conroe comes out. you can look for the release date on that as that should last you awhile as it's 64bit and has i believe 4MB of cache.
