The Mrs received a parcel from UPS while I was at work. I eagerly unwrapped it and found this:

I've owned a 226 clone in the past, which was decent, but always longed for a genuine 226 in preferebly Two-Tone as I thought they were gorgeous. Upon release of the "limited edition" Equinox, I deceided I had to have one.. she arrived today. It's still covered in preservative, so its not the most photogenic, but it'll clean up real nice.

Its a .40S&W (I'd have prefered a nine) but I am sure even with this quirk I'll fall in love with it.

Edit: Doh - coding

Er, you an FFL? How you get it shipped to you otherwise? Just unusual someone just gets them from UPS, a handgun that is.

Not trying to get in your ass, just curious

And I'd like a P220. I have a 9mm P239 now and like it a lot, but I really think they could have easily squeezed 2 more rounds into the frame. 8 is good, 10 is better.

My newest is a Smith & Wesson M&P .40. Picked it up about a month ago and absolutely love it.

He's a Canadian so I guess they have different rules up there.

To the OP: That is one very sweet looking SIG. Excellent selection.

I love my 226 and 220. My only problem with Sigs is that they work so well they're boring.
Haven't bought a gun in a while - I'll probably pick up a CZ-52 one of these days just for laughs.

True enough, but that's why their motto is "To Hell and Back Reliability"

I picked up a WASR-10 a few months ago. No pics here but I can post some later. I also picked up a S&W Sigma sw40ve. I haven't shot it yet, but I will in a few weeks.

How do you like it? Pros and cons? Chiefly, how is the grip? A 14 round stack in there seems like it would be pretty hefty.

I am considering getting the 0.40 4" XD but if that XD 45 is a great gun, then I may have to consider that instead!

I've been looking at getting a SIG myself. Probably a 9mm but I'm kinda short on cash right now. I'd really love to have a H&K USP 9mm though. My dad has a USP Compact .40 and its pretty damn slick.

Nice buy! Let me know how it shoots, I've been thinking about picking one up for off-duty.

I haven't heard very much that is good about the Sigma, other than their price.

Supposed to be truly nasty triggers in them.. like REALLY bad and mediocre ergonomics.

If you want to stay with a S&W polymer pistol, the new M&P has been getting some decent reviews.

Yeah I heard it had some weird triggering. The M&P looks like its in Glock territory for price. ~$600? Price has a lot to do with it, if i hate it it'll just be something in my collection for when I say "You want to see a really POS gun?"

I think its a great gun. I havn't shot to many handguns over my life (~6-7 models), but this one is right up there. It doesn't seem that hefty to me. The design to fit 14 rounds is amazing. The only thing that I dont like is that there is a disassembly lever that gets in the way of my left thumb so I have to alter my grip a tiny bit. But my hands are giant sized.

I've never messed around with an XD, how are they to dissemble? Relatively simple and quick like a Glock?

Also, would there be any issue firing it with the left hand? I am predominately right-handed, but I do have a tendency to do quite a few things with my left hand and on occasion I like to shoot with my left (I suck at shooting darts, but I do throw darts much, much better with my left hand than my right).

How much did you pay? I'm looking at buying one in the near future and was trying to get a rough estimate
