As a new TA member, I was overwhelmed by the generosity displayed by the team! Although I had just recently started, I wanted to help. Like everyone else, I posted my pledge.(embarrassingly, I just got the checkbook from my wife yesterday and mailed it out this morning )

Anyway, I also offered 500 RC5 blocks to anyone who matched my $20 donation. I got mixed responses from people, some strongly reminding me that they were not donating for blocks but to help out Mika! , others just telling me to give "their" blocks away. I later clarified my intentions of giving blocks away was to be my personal "thank you" to those who donated because I greatly appreciated the benefits the new server would bring to me.

So, I would like to start cracking those blocks begining next week. My plan is to use the list of "Contributors" that is posted on the Server Donations page on the TeamAnandTech Website found here:

I have extended my offer to include hardware contibutors as well as those who gave cash to simplify the process. This list should do the trick.

I will respect anyones wishes regarding their blocks, I don't want to offend anyone, interfere in a race, or do anything else disruptive to someones stats.

I need to ante up as well. I know I promised 4 RC5 blocks/$, and I know I had a similar offer for SETI, but I can't recall what it was (something like 50$/block). Anyway, I also requested that someoe e-mail me with everyone's $ totals. Do you have those, Osmo? Or should I just divide up the $954 equally?

I appreciate the offer of blocks but you may keep them for yourselves.
My small donation to the server is just my way of trying to help the team as I have recieved lots of great help here in these forums. This kind of advice is well worth more than what I have to offer.

Unfortunatly, I will not be of much help. Remembering back to the original thread, there were issues with listing donation amounts so the list includes contributors rather than contributions. That is why I am giving away a set number of blocks, not on a per/$ basis. Also, my original offer was to give blocks for cash donations of $20 or higher only, I've since changed that to include anyone on the contributors list to keep it simple!

Okay, I give up! I thought if I loaded blocks as one e-mail, they would flush as that e-mail. Some have, but most have been flushing as my e-mail.

So if anyone (who contributed) *really* wants more blocks, e-mail me and I'll send you some. Otherwise, Aberant will be my last customer.

I did not want your offer to go without a response, but I don't know that Mika or ViRGE will see it in this thread. I would strongly encourage you to contact Mika and ViRGE by email to see what help they might need at this stage.

For those TA members that don't know Steve, he is the head guy (or one of them anyway) of DCypher.net/process tree, the Gamma Flux people. Mika has started to run a Gamma pproxy on the team server, and is looking into some team stats development.

All I need is a legit email address that you would like to use for RC5. After the blocks are submitted, you can join the team, tweak your DNET profile and all of the other goodies. I'm sure everyone involved with RC5 would be glad to have you start and more than willing to help out. If you won't be participating, you could always donate them to another Team AnandTech member.

Currently, I should be finishing the 250 for BK from Viztech today.

After that, I will be caught up on blocks that have been donated to third parties. This may be your last chance to make provisions for your blocks. If you have a request other than acceptance of the blocks, you'd better post it soon!
