Time to reintroduce.... BRIDGE BUILDER!

I beat everything but #10 on hard. I keep snaping the 1st link of the deck.

Anyone else having better luck?

Evadman As I said in my edit, my bridge works perfectly at Level 10, Hard. No part of it cracks, falls, or anything -- all of the 'links' stay intact. I think I just may buy this game.

My biggest problem, especially with the longer bridges, was the square connecting pieces that go between the sections of road. They were always the first to fail. you'd think they could make them stronger.

It would be no sweat if that damn middle support was usable...

BaltSee mine for how to use the middle support. You've got to hit 'back' and 'forward' to move the plane of work forward and backward. Also, turn off 'symmetry' to work with individual links in space that aren't mirrored.

Idea to keep this competitive a little bit longer:

See who can build the cheapest functional bridge (broken links okay) for the four trips on hard difficulty.

I'll start it off:

Level 1 - 46 broken links - $6400 (total no-brainer on that one, obviously)
Level 2 - 38 broken links - $16800 (another no-brainer)
Level 3 NEW - 153 broken links (and a lot of air) - $27228
Level 9 - 177 broken links - $70338

Updates as I get them.

edit: level 10 doesn't change much from Normal to Hard level, so it still worked on Hard Mode.

Yeah, #9 was the hardest one for me, I think. I ended up using that thing in the middle of the river to build a tower, which was connected via cable to the roadtop, which itself bumps up over the two bumps and then comes back down again in the middle. Hope this helps. Mine ended up costing $89652 and breaking no links in Hard mode.

On level ten, i can't get my bridge to anchor to the middle. The underwater anchor. It has been a lil hard doing it without the middle.

You must be in 'advanced' mode. First, build your roadbed across the river. Then, click 'back' and click on the anchor point in the middle of the water. Then, click 'forward' and click on where you want it to attach to the roadbed. It will be tilted inward, since the anchors are wider than the roadbed.

i was in advanced mode, i put up a heavy steel girder in the center of the riverbed, but i cant seem to anchor any light steel or cables to the roadbed cause its wider than it

You can connect beams and cables across depths. Say point A is in depth 1, and point B is in depth 2. First, put yourself in depth 1. Click on point A, to start your beam. Click on forward or whatever, to get to depth 2. Click on point B to finish your beam. See my solution to #10, especially the second and third pics, to see how this works.

edit: oops instead of 'advanced' I meant 'complex'

lol... me and a friend found a new way to build a bridge. Build support beams underneath it and let it "fall" into place. Here is our solution number 10.

I bought the full version! It has 48 levels total. I'm stuck on level 11 on "normal" mode. It is quite tough. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them. Thanks.

I got level 9 to work with just 39k I made it colapse. Just a roadway with a triangle under the span in the middle. The train gets some serious air when it goes over it in "fast"

I managed to beat all of them in hard mode with no links broken except #10. I beat it, but the best I can get is 4 broken links on it. I like that game, but no bucks for full version. Oh well.

I stole Bizmarks #10 and I can say that I had no broken links on any of them in med or hard mode......

I will have to work on another design of my own though for hard #10.
