Time to see new trends in resolutions

Past year or two LCD monitor prices have been falling constantly. And larger and large monitor sizes have became affordable. I'm just wondering what is distribution of the resolutions that people use nowadays. I think people are moving away from SXGA.

I moved away from 1280 x 1024 recently, when the new 22" widescreen LCDs came out.

Might just change the first option to 4:3 because there are a lot of different resolutions used in that aspect ratio. (1152x864 and 1280x960 being two not on the list)

I use a 1440x900 19" lcd myself.

1152x864 suits me well on my measly 17" CRT. 1280x960 makes text too small as I normally like to recline a bit (parallel to the desk) with the keyboard in my lap.

This poll is heavily biased by being on a tech forum where everyone wants the latest and greatest.. I can tell you the VAST MAJORITY of people are still running 1024x768 (like me)... I know this because on DeviantArt everyone uploads pics in 800x600 etc and its what they recommend, and if you were to use a desktop at 1600 or 1920 it would look too small (even with a bigger screen)

I consider jumping on the high resolution speedwagon, I'm evaluating my options and waiting for better monitors to come on the surface..
It's an expensive "sport" what can you do ?

Went from 1280x1024 (19") to 1680x1050 (20"w) a few months ago and don't plan on getting 1920x1200 for at least a year yet.
