Tipping a landscaper on big job?

If a landscaper does a good job on a project that costed ~5k, would you tip him, and if so, how much?

Did he serve you food or cocktails, drive you around or carry your bags? If not, then no.

Food/water is all they should get, and 5k isn't a big job.

I've never heard of any industry standard in amount (I don't expect anything). But I have a few customers that always round my bill off or throw in an extra $20.

Sometimes the staff get $5-20 at the end of a job, but that's unusual. They always appreciate cold water/pop/gatorade when it is offered.

hell no.

but what i would do (and have done) is give the spanish guys who hardly speak a lick of english some food and drinks when they are out there working and sweating their asses off. they have always seemed very grateful for that.
