Another thing just happened though. My friend called me and told me this sophomore really wants to go to the prom with me. I don't really talk to her much, but she is in my math class and I know she is very smart. I'd rate her an 8 or 8.5. She's kind of preppy like me (doesn't smoke, drink, or anything). I don't know if I want to spend a bunch of money to go with her though. The last day for tickets is Friday, I'll see tommorrow. I doubt I'll go unless she asks me.

I really like the other girl though. She has a great personality (funny), looks awesome, and has the same hobbies as me. I can't pass this up.

When I say that I was new to the school, just about eveyone went to the public middle school but I came from the Catholic middle school. I knew maybe 3-4 kids my first day. I'd ask her out, but I don't have any classes with her. I'd have to stop her in the halls. It would be kind of creepy if some kid she hasn't talked to just asks her out randomly one day.

However, I think she has my lunch block every other day, so that is an oppurtunity.

HELLO, IT IS ON THE NET! Myspace IIRC can only be accessed via the internet, doesn't really matter since it's on a public site that anybody can see. What would you rather have, some fat 'ol 40 year old pedophile looking at her myspace or some 20 somethings oogling at her myspace? I'd pick the 20 somethings anyday, plus, if you're smart, you wouldn't be talking about anandtech at school now would you? Just link us to the myspace, it's on the net and therefore she shouldn't care, I mean she DID create the myspace, right??

first.- Angels and Airwaves suck, kids have horrible taste in music these days.
Second - You are only 16 , for god's sake , just ask her out and get it over with. Unless you want to end up like mjuszczak(believe me you don't wanna end up like him)
Third - Every time you talk about a girl, you rate her....STOP IT, unless you post pictures, we don't give a flying fvck about your rating standards (ie. IMO all the girls you mention are a 2 'cause they are 16 and still in hs).

lol, does this remind anyone of those teen movies where the guy likes the really hot popular girl and spends the whole movie trying to get with her only to find out she is a horrible person and his best friend (who happens to be female, is super hot, nice, and has a great personality) is totally in love with him and then realizes this and goes to prom with her?

Don't know if I said this already, but don't try to be something you're not. Trust me, girls can make pretty good BS detectors. Just keep in mind the following things:

-Don't act funny, play it cool. If you try to be funny, you'll most likely fail horribly and she'll just think you're weird.

-Don't sit around and worry about it, just fvcking ask her. Do it on impulse, so you're not worrying about it.

-Don't be dettered by her posse, just go up and ask her, even if her friends are all standing around. Chances are her friends will be impressed that you had enough balls to ask out in front of everyone.

-If you get shot down, grow a pair and move on. I had to go through a couple girls before I got a date.
